How did I at over 50 years old drop almost 60 pounds in less than a year? A few years ago I was rotund. Not heavy, I was seriously fat. My wait was quickly approaching 300 pounds. In one of those great moments of clarity, right after the Doctor smacked me upside the head, I made a new commitment. I went from 289 pounds at my heaviest weight down to 175. (Actually my weight fluctuates between 167 to 177.) I went from huffing and puffing walking a half mile to being able to walk 10 miles for fun. In this section of my blog I'll share a few of the discoveries I made along the way, including why a standard diet is usually the wrong way.
